This past month my wife and I welcomed our second child, William, to the world. It’s a special time and one I simply had to write about. I was inspired not only by my own growing family but watching and learning about so many of my friends’ loved ones. I hope my song “Little One” makes you squeeze life a little tighter. I can’t thank you all enough for all your kind words and support. I look forward to seeing you very soon!
It’s the Holiday Season! I hope all of you are enjoying time with family, friends, or chugging eggnog! Whatever gets you into the Holiday Spirit, I hope my song “Holiday Season” helps! As my gift to you, you can download it for free here!
I can’t wait to see all of you next year!
Thanks so much for your support!
I’m super excited to play a few of my favorite venues this month: Schubas in Chicago, Jammin’ Java in Vienna, VA, and Rockwood Music Hall in NYC. I’ve been hard at work writing and demoing new songs and am looking forward to playing a few for you! One of my favorites is called “Lightning in Bottles” and I’d love for you to check it out and share with your friends.
I’m also excited to be performing a few house concerts this fall via my new artist platform: Fanswell.com. If you have any interest in hosting me or one of your favorite artists at your place, please check out what we have cookin’ at Fanswell.com!
Finally, I hope you’ll help me promote these 3 upcoming shows by sharing the new song and show info on your social media pages.
As many of you know, I have been touring and playing shows for over 14 years and have made life-long friendships with many of you. I’m lucky to live my dream out loud and it wouldn’t be possible without your love and support. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have some of my life’s greatest moments occur on stage with you in the room. When I think about these moments and memories, I’m more times than not taken back to the unique and intimate gatherings I didn’t see coming. I think about the random Monday night show in Indiana where the small crowd sang my lyrics louder than I could. The time the club in Chicago cut us off and we took the show outside and performed on-top of the van. The living rooms, back yards, and basements are the ones that stick with me. I can see you singing along and we all hang out after the show.
Just over two years ago I had an idea. I guess you could say it was more than that. It was a calling. I wanted a better way to make more intimate and beautiful gatherings happen through music….and not just my own. Many of you are familiar with the “House Concert” movement. It’s a long running & timeless tradition. However, what I feel has been missing is a way for artists to put these shows in the hands of their biggest supporters. With the help of some incredibly smart tech-heads and music loving folks, I have co-founded Fanswell. This is so much more to me than a tech start-up or a website or even a company. It’s a way for artists and fans to make one of a kind performances happen in unique and personal spaces. I truly feel it makes the world a better place.
In the coming weeks and months, you’ll see some amazing artists and bands looking for concert hosts in your area. Or maybe you’ll get an invite from a friend who’s hosting their favorite songwriter in their living room, backyard, or office. I of course will be looking for hosts in the near future as I continue to perform across the country. I’d be honored if you’d visit Fanswell.com and sign up for our newsletter. We’ll keep you posted with new tours and artists looking for hosts in your city.
Lastly, please tell your favorite artist to check us out. We’ll take good care of ‘em!
Without you guys, we’d be no-where so let’s all get even a little closer and make “LIVE” happen together!
Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Graham Colton Band’s Drive. This album means so much to me and has truly shaped my entire career. I’m blown away by the response I still get playing these songs and I love hearing all the unique stories about fans discovering this album. We recorded the album in Atlanta, GA with producer Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Augustana, Stone Temple Pilots) & criss-crossed the country for nearly 4 years promoting it. Alongside Jordan, Drew, Ryan, and Turtle, this truly was an incredible time and I am so lucky to have met so many of you I still call friends. Thanks so much for your support!
In honor of this milestone, I’ve added a download of “Doing Alright,” a previously unreleased track from the Drive sessions, to my online store. Hope you enjoy it!
“Mixed Up” from Lonely Ones was featured on last night’s episode of About A Boy on NBC! You can hear it playing at 4:02.
After almost three weeks on the road in the Midwest, East Coast and Deep South, we’re home! We had so much fun seeing all of you sing the new songs back to us and had some of our best shows to date including our biggest crowds in NYC and Evanston. We blew one tire, hit 200,000 miles on the van, got stuck in the snow twice, left one hotel in fear of bed bugs (we’re fine) and stayed in the jacuzzi suite in Columbus. I can’t tell you how good it feels to be turning the clocks forward and heading into Spring. That means more shows! We are kicking things off for round two of the Lonely Ones Tour with three Oklahoma shows including the official CD release in my hometown of Oklahoma City. I can’t wait to see all of you at the shows!
